Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

An old fishing boat returning to the harbor at Telegraph Cove, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Telegraph Cove is located on the eastern shores of Northern Vancouver Island. It is in the Johnstone Strait and Broughton Archipelago region, a region rich in First Nation history for more than 9000 years.
It is the homeland of the Kwakwaka’wakw Bands and it is rich in history.

Telegraph Cove’s history began as a lumber mill and salmon saltery in the early 20th century and acquired its name in 1912 when the Superintendent of Telegraphs was shopping for a lineman’s station and northern terminus for the telegraph line from Campbell River to the south. Thus Telegraph Cove became the official name for this tiny fishing village of boardwalks and little wooden building built on pilings. Boats were the only means of transportation. Today there is a pave road to the hamlet which has retained it quaint character and is a popular time for tourists in the summer. Whale watch...

I was born and raised in Denmark and got to go back and work there for four years recently. I lived in California for many years and now Vancouver Island is where I call home.
