Description
The Rufous hummingbird is the feistiest little bird in North America. The brilliant orange male and the green-and-orange female hummingbirds are relentless attackers at flowers and feeders. They have a wide range, breeding further north than any other hummingbirds. You find them in California in the spring and they breed in the pacific Northwest and Alaska in summer.
