Description
The Alberni Inlet is a long, narrow fiord on Vancouver Island reaching 40 km inland from the Pacific Ocean, terminating at the little town of Port Alberni. An old historic ship sails between Port Alberni and the coastal town of Bamfield, dropping off mail at small communities along the way. It also takes passengers and the trip is popular with local photographers. It is a very beautiful inlet with mountains, and trees right to the water's edge.
