Featured 8/30/2017 - A red admiral butterfly is drinking nectar from a white coneflower. The direct front view makes the butterfly wings appear paper thin, much like a stealth airplane, ready to take off! This photo was taken in my garden, and processed with digital textures and photo painting to achieve the finished fine art image.

Featured 7/19/2017 - Original wildlife art by Sharon McConnell features the White Rhinoceros. The photo was taken at The Wilds, a nature preserve in Cumberland, Ohio. I added digital texture and photo painting to achieve the finished painted canvas appearance.

I saw this single small white flower blooming on a tall stem, in the middle of a large area with ground cover and hostas. It was clearly out of place, and probably growing as a result of a random seed being dropped by a bird or the wind. It appears to be of the aster family, but I'm not sure of the exact variety. I added some digital texture and framing color to give it a painterly effect.
