A fern is a member of a group of about 12,000 species of vascular plants that reproduce by spores. They do not flower and they do not have seeds.
Ferns first appeared in the fossil record 360 million years ago (late Devonian period), but the present day species date back about 145 million years in early Cretaceous.

Welcome to my FAA portfolio. I hope you like what you see. Photography has been a big part of my life for many years, and as I get older, it is becoming more so. I was born and raised in Denmark and got to go back and work there for four years recently. I lived in California for many years and now Vancouver Island is where I call home. Travel was a big part of my career and the camera was often part of my carry-on. My interests in photography are varied - I try to capture the light wherever I can.
