Description
It is that time of year again. The swans in Copenhagen are multiplying rapidly. Just the last few days, several batches of cygnets have hatched. The swan is the national bird of Denmark and there are a great many of them. They are a big part of life, even in the big city where they nest in the urban waterways, lakes, harbors, moats, etc, right alongside the pathways where people are walking and biking. No-one hurts them and they are not afraid. This new mother seems to be lovingly playing peek-a-boo with her newly hatched youngster.
