Description
The beech is a deciduous tre in the family Fagaceae which is native to the temperate parts of Europe, Asia, and North America. The trees in this image is the European Beech, Fagus Sylvatica. This tree grows naturally in Denmark and southern Sweden.
Beech trees in summer have a thick canopy, casting deep shade onto the forest floor. In spring, winter and late fall beautiful light falls among the trees.
Some of the beech trees keep their fall leaves all through the winter, creating beautiful patterns in the forests

Love the horizontal wispy branches! They look like forest spirits coursing through the trees. l/f Inge!
